Abstract	Splenomegalije se definira kao povećanje slezene mjereno težinom i/ili veličinom. Splenektomija ili kirurško uklanjanje slezene obično se smatra spasilačkim postupkom kod traumatiziranih bolesnika, određenih hematoloških poremećaja, malignih stanja i u svrhu dijagnostike. Medicinska sestra instrumentarka samostalni je član kirurškog tima i bez nje niti jedan operacijski zahvat nebi bio izvediv. Glavana uloga sestre instrumentarke tijekom laparoskopske splenektomije je instrumentiranje.
