Abstract
Tema ovog diplomskog rada je razvoj autističnog djeteta pri čemu se pažnja posvećuje razdoblju od postavljanja dijagnoze, prilagodbe roditelja i obitelji, predškolske i školske dobi djeteta pa sve do uključenja osobe s autizmom u radnu i društvenu zajednicu. Kroz određivanje uloge medicinske sestre/tehničara u razvoju autističnog djeteta prikazana je prilagodba koja je potrebna u obitelji te važnost mijenjanja stavova i predrasuda o djeci s autizmom. Sam koncept rada odrađen je u dvije razine pri čemu se na početku rada uvodi u temu govoreći o poremećaju autističnog spektra kroz teoretski dio koji obuhvaća definiranje autizma, povijesni osvrt, karakteristike autizma te klasifikaciju autističnog poremećaja. Drugi, odnosno praktični dio ovoga rada odnosi se na praćenje slučaja autističnog dječaka koji pohađa odgojno-obrazovnu skupinu specijalnog odjeljenja u OŠ Zvonimira Franka u Kutini te se kroz prikaz slučaja pojašnjavaju specifičnosti te razvoj i život autističnog djeteta.
